ENSURING SECOND CHANCE IN LIFE AND PREVENTING DISABILITIES - THROUGH COMMUNITY COLLABORATION

‘Preventing Disabilities’ and ‘Ensuring Second Chance in Life’ are two major strategic goals of ‘Divine Fellowship’, and we do it through building collaboration among Child Development Agencies like ICDS and Public Health Centres along with Families with a special emphasis on nutrition and proper health check-ups during pregnancy until the babies reaching the age of six through adoption and parental education, since health-care intervention with nutrition during pregnancy are two vital factors largely determine child’s healthy birth and overall fitness. And if the expectant mothers respond well to the intervention, the disability can be prevented to a large extend.

TO ENSURE SECOND CHANCE IN LIFE OUR TALENTED CHILDREN ARE SENT TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR BETTER SOCIAL INTEGRATION

logo We make every effort to ensure a ‘Second Chance in Life’ for the children already affected. We facilitate children and strengthen families both through ‘Community-based Initiatives and our Residential facilities’. Strengthening families with alternative livelihood in a most resource constrained region is essential to alleviate factors limiting their survival and growth, exploitations of the disabled children and inter-generational poverty.

WE ENSURE ON CAMPUS SCHOOL READINESS BEGINNING WITH MORNING ASSEMBLY AND PROPER GUIDANCE

Ensuring ‘Second Chance in Life’ means meeting the needs of healthy affordable diet, hygiene and health-care products etc, leading to school readiness and better performance outcomes along with developing an accountable, violence free, safe neighbourhood that provide good social-emotional-learning (ESL) scope… as measures of both prevention and rehabilitation.
