‘DISASTER RESILIENCE & RISK MANAGEMENT - (DRRM) WITH RELIEF WORKS AND PROMOTING PRACTICES OF CLIMATE SMART ECONOMY’

South Bengal especially the coastal zone is highly disaster prone area and often get battered by floods and cyclones etc. Several calamities in recent years in the midst of Covid-19, have washed away livelihood in such a way that would take many years to get back normalcy. And now the situation aggravated by climate change, needs urgent attention since a large number of persons live here with disabilities. In the recent past, we’ve undertaken Rescue and Relief works immediately after the ‘Amphan and Yeas’ in the midst of Covid pandemic.

OUR VISUALLY IMPAIRED YOUTH ARE TRAINED ON COMMUNITY RESOURCE MAPPING…BEFORE SENDING THEM FOR RELIEF WORKS

logo Divine Fellowship works on ‘DRRM-Project’ with long term plans as needed for developing resilient communities with skills and practices for the sustainable use of natural resources, protecting and re-building local ecology with a ‘Whole Community Approach’.
We plan to promote two vital climate mitigation related projects, the ‘Solar Power Project’ and ‘Harvesting of Large-scale Rainwater’, purify and disseminate it for drinking and household consumptions beginning at our campus as centre for facility and training for local youth along with our graduates for both as entrepreneurs and for their better health. The local youth can promote solar power projects throughout Kolkata & surrounding villages.
